Blood splatter (bottom left), again, typical of thrillers/horror films due to it resembling mortality.
The shadow figure (top left) from the Paranormal Activity series. The shadow figure is made to frighten the audience once the recognise it is there, making the films' events personal to them, frightening them further.
The cloudy figure/mask (middle)- the lack of identity scares people naturally due to our common, normal sense of safety.
Bloody dagers (middle) represent murder and therefore, death, something all thriller audiences are terrified of and can relate to that terror.
